Position
The municipality is famous for being home to Selinunte, the largest archaeological park in Europe. The park comprises an acropolis, eight temples, a sanctuary and two necropolises. Selinunte is unique thanks to its location. In fact, the park overlooks the crystal-clear Sicilian sea, offering breathtaking views.
The centre of Castelvetrano is a few kilometres away. Its historic centre is characteristic, with elegant noble palaces and many churches of great architectural value.
Marinella, a hamlet of Castelvetrano, is home to the most beautiful beaches in the area: the Asinello Reserve; the Belice River; the Pineta and the Scalo di Bruca.
